The Altra Experience Wild 3 is a fully updated trail running shoe designed to be Altra’s most approachable trail daily trainer yet. Built for runners and hikers of all experience levels, it’s equally at home on first-time trail adventures, everyday dirt miles, and mixed-terrain outings in the great outdoors.
Borrowing its platform from the road-ready Experience Flow, the Wild 3 debuts EGO™ P35 midsole foam for the first time. This softly balanced cushioning delivers improved step-in comfort, smoother transitions, and better ground adaptation while maintaining a lightweight, runnable feel. Like the rest of the Experience family, a 4 mm heel-to-toe drop enhances efficiency on flatter terrain and reduces calf strain on climbs, making it easier to go longer and farther on trails.
Underfoot, the MaxTrac™ outsole provides reliable grip and durability on moderate, mixed terrain with increased rubber coverage and wider lugs for confident traction. Up top, the refined upper focuses on comfort and protection, featuring a plush tongue, redesigned ankle collar, abrasion-resistant materials, and a reinforced TPU toe cap to shield your feet when conditions get rough.
Versatile, comfortable, and confidence-inspiring, the Altra Experience Wild 3 is a go-to choice for trail running, hiking, and everyday outdoor training wherever your path leads.
